For the following indoor shows, tickets are free but required: Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo, Just Plain Anna-Amanda, High Hopes and River Boats.
These tickets can be obtained in the Visitors’ Center or can be reserved ahead of time by calling 217-453-2237, ext 122.
For the Following outdoor shows, no tickets are required: The Nauvoo Pageant, Sunset by the Mississippi, and the BYU peforming groups.
Rendezvous in old Nauvoo
This delightful musical comedy, performed by senior tour guides, tells the story of the Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo during the 1840s. Read More.

Sunset by the Mississippi

High Hopes and River Boats
A musical drama documented from journals of early Nauvoo residents. Performed by college students from around the nation, this is a terrific, family-friendly show that introduces young and old to the history of Nauvoo. Read More.
Just Plain Anna-Amanda
A musical written with children in mind, but one that delights whole families. Young Anna-Amanda searches for what she wants to be and decides she’s happy to be herself. Read More.
Sunday Sociables
At least twice a month Historic Nauvoo offers lectures, musical performances or other devotionals suitable for a Sunday evening . Check the calendar for times and places. Read More.
BYU Peforming Groups
International Folk Dance Ensemble August 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 8:30 p.m., Historic Nauvoo Outdoor Stage. All Nauvoo performances are free.
Note the Folk Dancers performance on Monday, August 9, will be early, at 7:00 p.m., and will be followed that night by the Young Performing Missionaries’ talent show.
The International Folk Dancers will appear in Carthage, Illinois, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 in advance or $7.00 at the door; for tickets go to: www.ticsrus.com, or call 217-357-3024.
June 12, at 7:30 p.m., the International Folk Dancers will appear in Fairfield, IA; for tickets and prices, contact the Fairfield Convention and Arts Center: www.fairfieldacc.com.
The International Folk Dance Ensemble will also do shorter day-time outreach performances in the following communities:
August 10, Springfield, IL, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum at 11:00 a.m.; August 11, Quincy, IL, Quincy Senior Center at 2:00 p.m.; June 17.
Mountain Strings, the folk band that travels with the International Folk Dance Ensemble, will peform in the following communities:
Auugust 7, Bentonsport, IA, Pavilion at Noon; August 13, Keokuk, IA, Rand Park Performance Pavilion at Noon.
The International Folk Dance Ensemble will also present a Sunday Sociable, with talks and music suitable for the Sabbath, on August 8, at 7:30 p.m. on the Historic Nauvoo Outdoor Stage.
Young Performing Missionaries
Don’t miss the Young Performing Missionaries’ talent show on Monday, August 9, on the outdoor stage. It’s at 8:30, following the International Folk Dance Ensemble performance, which will be early that night, at 7:00 p.m.
Love to perform on stage? Have a talent playing a brass instrument? Each year 20 stage missionaries and 16 to 18 band members are selected through a rigorous audition process, and will receive a four-month Church Service Mission call to the Illinois Nauvoo Mission, assigned to serve in Nauvoo.
