Service projects abound in Nauvoo. In the past, groups have participated in stripping logs for the construction of a log home, painting the wrought iron fence surrounding the Temple, clearing branches after a storm, painting City Hall, and many other activities. Reservations for service projects call 800-453-0022 Ext. 310.

Visit Old Pioneer Burial Grounds to search out headstones identifying pioneers of the past.

Visitors can look up their own family history at the Nauvoo Family History Center or find further information at the Land and Records Center.

Please be aware as visitors that you will be "guests" in their city. Showing courtesy through respect for private property is always appreciated. Please assume that any area inside the city limits is probably privately owned, and not for personal group recreational use, unless specially posted and arranged in advance. Picnicking, placing signs, setting up refreshment areas, or taking photos of private residences or yards, without specific permission in advance, is not appropriate.
